Brianne C. Smith,
PhD, CPA/PFS, ABV
Brianne has been helping clients plan for their financial futures for over 20 years and manages both a CPA practice and a financial planning and advisory firm. Her passion for financial education extends to the classroom, where she has taught numerous accounting courses at Auburn Montgomery and Huntingdon College. Brianne is passionate about making finance accessible to everyone and is always looking for new and innovative ways to teach and learn.
When Brianne isn’t busy advising clients or teaching students, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and hanging out with her 3 teenagers and yellow lab, Winter.

Laina Sansom
Laina, our Client Service Associate, specializes in client communication, payroll, monthly bookkeeping, and tax return preparation. Whether you have questions or need assistance, Laina is here for you! Currently pursuing a full-time law degree at Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, she seamlessly balances her academic pursuits with a passion for providing top-notch service. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Laina enjoys running with her dog Cooper. Even though she may not have the opportunity to meet every client in person while working remotely, Laina is enthusiastic about serving everyone with dedication and expertise.

Chelsea Carroll, CPA
Chelsea spends her days in office focused on ensuring clients are staying on track to meet their goals. Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys spending her time outdoors, playing with her dogs, or traveling back home to Florida to visit her family. She looks forward to working with you all!

Rebekah Forbus
Rebekah is a dedicated accounting major currently enrolled at the University of Auburn Montgomery. She will be graduating with her undergraduate degree in the Fall of 2024 and her Master of Accountancy degree in the Fall of 2025.
Outside of work, Rebekah enjoys camping, hiking, and playing tennis with friends. She looks forward to working with you all!

Joe, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, is a multifaceted individual with a love for music, particularly the piano, where he skillfully weaves heartfelt melodies. A dedicated reader, Joe enjoys exploring diverse literary realms, reflecting his intellectual curiosity. Beyond his creative pursuits, he finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, relishing moments with family and friends. Joe's harmonious blend of musical passion, literary exploration, and strong connections with loved ones make him a cherished member of the Birmingham community.

Shelby Edgeworth
Shelby is an accounting student at AUM and is on the AUM softball team. She interned with us in the fall of 2023 and she was a tremendous help. She focused primarily on accounting.
